Making the artists, culture, traditions and crafts of the Azores known is one of our missions.

The hotel's rich collection includes Azorean artists and personalities with Azorean roots, represented in renowned national and international museums, from the Musée d'Orsay to the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, not forgetting the Carlos Machado Museum, which adorn some of the main public spaces of the country, such as the Assembly of the Republic or the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, and which played a fundamental role in culture, literature and even the regional and national political panorama.

In addition to the pieces of art on permanent display, we enrich the hotel's collection by promoting temporary exhibitions and partnerships with local artists.

Artist Promotion

We received temporary residencies at NINE DOTS, supporting not only renowned artists, but also new names in the cultural panorama of the Azores. A form of connection and synergy between the past and the present, in the multiple aspects of Azorean art and culture.
