Despite the intense relationship with the sea, which was felt in the vicinity of the picturesque Cais da Alfândega, it is in Rua dos Mercadores that the introspective character of the building is most noticeable, with its facades facing the commerce of the inner streets and its coasts. facing the sea with imposing walled walls.

Today, Rua dos Mercadores maintains its identity as one of the most emblematic streets of the capital of Micaelense, preserving a strong urban dynamic and its commercial character.
